David Mollenauer

Mr. David Mollenauer was our featured cellist for Kol Nidre 2007.

Mr. Mollenauer graduated from the Juilliard School in 1987 earning both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees while studying with Harvey Shapiro. He continued his studies with Lynn Harrell at the University of Southern California and has coached with the Juilliard String Quartet and concert artist Yo-Yo Ma.

David is currently assistant principal cello with the San Antonio Symphony and professor of cello at Trinity University.  He also recently became Lynn Harrell's private teaching assistant at Rice University.

During the summer season David performs with the Grand Teton Music Festival in Jackson, Wyoming and pursues his passion for wine in northern California through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
